Current Projects

Our current projects include many significant expansions and additions that will have an impact for decades—or even generations. The following is a list of our current projects that need your generous philanthropic support:


503 The Henry Mayo Center opened in 2014 .The Center will provide the environment, resources, technology, staff and curricula to deliver educational programs to patients and families, nursing staff, employees, volunteers, and physicians. Many exciting areas are available for naming, including a simulation lab, conference rooms and lobby. READ MORE



504 The new and improved Akbar Hasan Infusion Center opened its doors in February of 2013, in response to a 40% growth in infusion patients at Henry Mayo. Patient well-being was the catalyst that drove improvements for infusion services in the new, 2,000 square-foot space equipped with eight new infusion chairs and staffed by two full-time RNs and a patient care technician. 505 The new, $6-million Kim and Steven Ullman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) opened in 2012, created an ideal patient-centered environment for SCV's tiniest patients close to home. The 11-bed, 4,369-square-foot NICU features private, temperature-controlled rooms which provide each infant the developmentally appropriate environment that they require. Naming opportunities include patient rooms, Giraffe omnibeds and transport READ MORE



502 New Operating Room and Expanded Surgical Department  was placed in operation in October 2011. The new state-of-the art operating room--a fully integrated laparoscopic theater -- puts the total number of operating rooms at Henry Mayo now has a total of nine operating rooms -- five inpatient ORs in the main hospital building (4 available for naming) and four outpatient OR's in the Outpatient Surgery Center. 506 New Parking Structure and Helipad May 1, 2011 marked the official opening of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s new parking structure and helipad, bringing improved access to the facility and faster emergency/trauma care for the community. The helipad is absolutely key to retaining our Class II Trauma Center designation, and for serving the 650-square-mile area around Santa Clarita with rapid transport in times of most dire injuries. 509 New Wayne and Connie Spears Intensive Care Unit. August 24, 2010 marked the official opening of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s new 18-bed Intensive Care Unit. The ICU is a highly specialized unit with technologically-advanced equipment and a calming atmosphere to help patients severely impacted by trauma, disease or illness. Areas available for naming include patient rooms, visitors lounge, nursing stations, staff lounge and conference room. READ MORE
