Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation is pleased to welcome Andrei Nikitin as the new Director of Development. Andrei brings more than 12 years of broad fund development experience to the Foundation.
Nikitin will be working closely with the Foundation President and the Board of Directors on growing philanthropic support of the hospital.
“I am thrilled to join the Henry Mayo team,” said Nikitin. “Henry Mayo is a growing hospital providing advanced medical care to the residents of the vibrant, growing Santa Clarita Valley community. The philanthropic support of the hospital by dedicated members of this community in the recent years has been nothing short of extraordinary. I consider philanthropy absolutely essential for continued strategic growth of the hospital, and I am excited to be a part of this growth.”
Prior to joining Henry Mayo, Nikitin served for over 5 years as the major gifts officer at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. There, he successfully raised major gifts for a $10-million capital campaign for a new acute care tower, as well as for equipment (a new multislice CT scanner, Giraffe OmniBeds), and for hospital renovations. He secured the largest bequest gift (valued at $4.8 million) Glendale Adventist has ever received. In addition, Nikitin was an active community leader as a member and president of the Rotary Club of Glendale. Prior to that, he ran development programs for Parents Television Council in Los Angeles and Adventist Media Center in Simi Valley.
Nikitin holds a master’s degree in Education, English and German from Ryazan State University, a master’s degree in Communications from Wheaton College, and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University. He is currently completing his Master of Business Administration degree at La Sierra University.
