The Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation is pleased to welcome the continuing participation of Western Airparts Corporation as a corporate partner and as a member of its Vice-Chairman’s Circle.
Bob Benjamin, owner of Western Airparts, is a longtime supporter of the Foundation and an active member of the Board of Directors since 2007. Currently serving as treasurer and chair-elect of the Board, Benjamin has also supported the Foundation’s annual golf tournament for 15 years as a volunteer and as co-chairman of the event since 2008.
Santa Clarita residents since 1978, Bob and his wife, Diane, support a number of charities in the community. Henry Mayo holds a special place with the couple, where there is a room named after them in the Emergency Department in honor of their major gift to support the ED expansion. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is also the beneficiary of their generosity with their donation to purchase a transport portable monitor.
Bob and Diane’s personal experience with Henry Mayo occurred several years ago, when their son, Rob, was critically injured in a motorcycle accident and treated at Henry Mayo’s Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. “The doctors and staff at Henry Mayo saved his life,” Bob said. Both their grandsons were born at the hospital and their granddaughter has been treated in the ER several times as well. The staff and physicians have always provided first class treatment and care.
"The need for ongoing new medical technology drives our ongoing commitment to the Foundation and Henry Mayo. When we need the hospital, we want it to be the best medical facility possible."
The Benjamins have volunteered and served on the Boards of many non-profit organizations in the Santa Clarita community, sharing the benefit of their experienceand commitment. Benjamin stressed the need to support Henry Mayo which serves as “our only community hospital.”
“The growth of this hospital is phenomenal as it continues to support the healthcare needs of our growing community,” he said. “I’m proud to be a supporter.”
